With the intention of getting rid of the exorbitant fees of private English medium schools, the state government opened government English medium schools in every block to provide English education to the children of poor-rural areas. So that children can mature by taking free English education education. Along with this, the dreams of children and parents of studying in English medium can be fulfilled. But the School Development Management Committees (SDMCs) formed in the schools in the district have imposed the amount of development fee on the children. It has been said to spend this amount in the name of school development, but no such order has been issued by the Education Department. The top officials of the education department are shunning the matter by calling it a proposal of SDMC. For school development, a huge amount is given by the state government under Samsa. The state government had recently claimed that there is a huge rush for admission in government English medium schools. The situation is that children have to draw lottery for admission. The reason behind this was the hefty fees in private schools. Even during the Corona period, the economic condition of the people has deteriorated. Because of this parents are also choosing government schools. So that the facility of fees, books and uniforms can be provided. In the past, the girl had complained to the SDM, the girl, who was studying in the said school in the camp with the administration villages in Mahatma Gandhi Government School English Medium School located in Old Cantonment, had also complained to the SDM, after which the matter came to light. On this, the District Education Officer had also got the development fee refunded. The education officer and the officials associated with the school management say that due to the proposal taken by the SDMC, this development fee has been fixed at Rs 550. This amount will be spent on repairing work in the school and on buying stations and getting old books corrected. 1842 students in the district There are five Mahatma Gandhi English schools in the district. These include City Kotwali in Dholpur city, Old Cantonment in rural area, Rajkheda, Garhi Lajja and Dhanora School. These five schools have a student strength of 1842. A development fee of Rs 550 is being charged from them. An amount of about ten lakh rupees will be received from this. They say that it is unfair to charge development fee of Rs 550 in Mahatma Gandhi School. It is wrong to charge this amount when the government is bringing a bill for free education. 50-100 rupees are charged for development fee in normal schools. There are five government English medium schools in the district. In this, an amount of Rs 550 is being taken for the development fee by taking a proposal from the School Development Management Committee, the receipt of which is given. This amount is spent on other items including school building repairs. The committees have been constituted on the instructions of the state government.
