The power crisis in Rajasthan is deepening. The government’s power generation, procurement and distribution management has completely collapsed. Due to not timely procurement of coal for power generation, production has started getting affected. Announced and undeclared power cuts have started in many districts of the state. In view of the power crisis, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to spread awareness. Along with this, the officials have been urged to run the air conditioner (AC) less. ,

The state government itself has admitted that the power crisis has increased in the state. The situation is such that in the capital itself, on Friday, about 200 colonies and settlements have been announced that there will be no power supply for 4 to 7 hours. In Rajasthan, people have to live in the heat between the temperature above 35 degrees. There is a power cut of 2 to 5 hours in rural and urban areas falling in Jaipur Discom area. Power cuts have been implemented by the company in many districts under the Jodhpur Discom area.

CM appealed to spend electricity according to the need
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has instructed the officials to make people aware to save electricity. Along with this, the government officials have also been asked to run less AC and save electricity. In government departments also, electricity should be spent only when needed, the equipment should be kept off for the rest of the time. He said that electricity can be saved by taking care of small things.
