Anti-Corruption Bureau Ajmer Chowki arrested the office superintendent of the Divisional Railway Manager’s office, Sahiram Meena, red-handed while taking a bribe of forty thousand rupees. The accused was demanding a bribe of one lakh rupees from the complainant in the name of getting him transferred to Ajmer. After the victim’s complaint and verification, the ACB arrested the accused red-handed on Tuesday evening while taking the bribe amount.
Superintendent of Police Sameer Singh said that the ACB Headquarters ordered action on the complaint given by the complainant to the Ajmer unit. On the orders of the Headquarters, Deputy Superintendent Anoop Singh, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Satnal Singh, verified the complaint and arrested Sahiram Meena, a resident of the Office of the Superintendent, Karauli Sengarpura Hall Fraser Road, Railway Quarter, on Tuesday evening, taking a bribe of 40 thousand rupees. The accused was harassing the victim railway employee by demanding a bribe of one lakh rupees in the name of the office of the Divisional Railway Manager Ajmer in lieu of getting the transfer done. The accused had earlier recovered a bribe of Rs 40,000 from the complainant. On being harassed for the remaining amount, the complainant lodged a complaint against the accused in the ACB Headquarters.

The ACB team also searched other places including the official residence of Office Superintendent Sahiram Meena. The ACB team was engaged in research till late night. The ACB started investigation by registering a case against the accused in the Prevention of Corruption Act.
