Calling himself an army officer, the vicious thug got the railway employee transferred an amount of one lakh rupees online after narrating the story of being transferred to Ajmer and renting a house. The victim has filed a case of fraud in the Adarshnagar police station.

According to the police, Vikas Jain, a resident of Adarshnagar Balupura Road, reported that his father Vinod Jain is retired from the railways. His father recently put information on the social media platform for renting a house located in Haribhau Upadhyay Nagar. Recently he got a call. Calling himself a military officer, the caller talked about being transferred from Ahmedabad to Gujarat and coming to Ajmer. So he expressed his desire to rent the house. Vinod Jain gave him numbers for the rest of the tenancy process. When he talked to the caller, he took the military officer into the trap by telling him that it was mandatory to get the registration done for renting the house.

One lakh rupees transferred
Research officer Mangharam said that the accused thug deposited three rupees of 19-19 thousand and then Rs 22-22 thousand twice in the account of development in the name of registration. After transferring a total of 99 thousand 999 rupees, the accused first picked up Vikas’s phone and later switched off his own mobile phone. Then he realized that he had been cheated.
