It is also called the month of Aghan. Shankh worship also has special significance in the month of Margashirsha. It is said that if the conch is worshiped in this month, then the blessings of Maa Lakshmi can also be obtained.

Worship only a normal conch

It is believed that in the month of Margashirsh, worshiping the common conch as the Panchjanya conch shell brings blessings of Lord Krishna. Panchjanya conch shell is the conch of Lord Krishna. If the conch is worshiped throughout the month, then the Lord is pleased and fulfills the wishes of the devotees. It is believed that during the churning of the ocean, the conch also appeared along with Goddess Lakshmi. According to religious texts, Maa Lakshmi is the daughter of Sumadra and the conch shell is considered to be the brother of Maa Lakshmi. That is why it is said that by worshiping the conch, one gets the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. For this reason blowing conch shell in Lakshmi Puja is considered very auspicious. After the aarti, water is sprinkled on the devotees from a conch.

It is believed that by filling milk in the Dakshinavarti conch shell and consecrating Lord Vishnu with it, one gets wealth. According to the Puranas, make a bundle by filling whole rice in a pearl conch shell and keeping it in the vault also gives wealth. It is said that donating a conch shell in the Vishnu temple in the month of Margashirsh also removes the problem of money. To get the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, in the month of Margashirsh, mix Gangajal and saffron in the Dakshinavarti conch and anoint her.
