Ajmer. Strictness will be started from Friday for payment of outstanding bills by Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam. The connections of those who do not pay the bill will be disconnected. For this, each level officer has been assigned a target to cut connections daily or to bring revenue collection. In 12 circles under the corporation’s jurisdiction, the payment of Rs 1399 crore is due on the consumers. A special campaign for revenue collection will be run by the corporation from November 26 to 30.
Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited’s Managing Director V.S. Bhati informed that the officials have set targets to recover the outstanding amount of Rs 1399 crore on all categories of consumers of the discoms. The special campaign of the corporation will be run from 26 to 30 November. In the campaign, daily targets have been set for all Chief Engineers to Junior Engineers and Chief Accounts Officers, Senior Accounts Officers and Circle Accounts Officers for collection of revenue.

20 connections will be cut every day
Bhati said that according to the target, Junior Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Executive Engineers will have to cut at least 20 connections of consumers with more than Rs 5000 dues during the campaign every day or recover the dues from them. The Superintending and Chief Engineers have also been instructed to cut off the electricity connections of the 10 highest outstanding consumers under their jurisdiction during the daily campaign. Instructions have been given to the officers of commercial and meter wing to recover the outstanding revenue from industrial consumers. He also directed the secretary administration to collect revenue from government departments in coordination with their counterpart officers.

In addition to technical officers and employees, Bhati has also directed all senior Accounts Officers and Accounts Officers to take technical staff with them and recover revenue from outstanding consumers or disconnect their connections.
Highest in Nagaur, less in Dungarpur

Nagaur district has the highest dues of discoms at Rs 433.65 crore. At the same time, the lowest Rs 27.35 crore is in Dungarpur district.
