Ajmer. A case of cheating of one and a half lakh rupees has come to light with a daily wage laborer and his brother in the name of getting married. In a secretly arranged marriage in UP Gorakhpur, the bride left the groom at the railway station and fled with her mother and brother. After a long search the victims returned to Ajmer. He has filed a case of fraud against the marriage bureau operator and his partner through Clock Tower police station.

According to the police, the complainant Ram Sindhi, a resident of Malusar Road, Shantinagar, told in the report that he had contacted Chawla Marriage Bureau in Ashaganj on September 25 for the marriage of himself and brother Bhagwandas. The operator of the marriage bureau told them two girls in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Kanhaiya, who works in the bureau, along with his partner Omprakash, wife and sister took them to see the girl. In lieu of that, the accused decided to take one and a half lakh rupees if the girl liked the cost of commuting. On October 9, a girl named Suman and Riya appeared in Gorakhpur. After the conversation, Omprakash and Kanhaiya took one and a half lakh rupees from him on October 10.

The accused got the complainant’s brother Bhagwandas married by calling Suman a pandit in the house itself. On being asked, it was said that marriage is like this here. When he asked for his marriage, once he deferred by saying that he would come to Ajmer.

Complainant Ram told that he came to Gorakhpur railway station with brother Bhagwandas and bride Suman. Suman’s brother Anil and mother also came along till the station. At the station, the bride’s brother and mother told to do some shopping, saying that it would take time for the train to arrive. The accused took two thousand rupees from him. When they did not return despite the passage of a lot of time, they told Omprakash and Kanhaiya, then the accused told their work to get married. Then there was a feeling of fraud by collusion with the accused. On the report of the complainant, the police started investigation by registering a fraud case against Chawla Marriage Bureau Ashaganj, Lohakhan Pratapnagar residents Kanhaiya Singh and Omprakash.
